Bati Guest House
if you have children with you on your trip to Fiji - then Bati Guest House is highly recommended.
Namatakula Village, Coral Coast, Fiji. 2hrs drive from Nadi International Airport - half way between Nadi and Suva.
Guests have their own rooms and there is flushing toilets and hot and cold showers.
Bati Guest House is owned by Simon and Judith Batibasaga and run by their son Isoa and his wife Rosa.
There are many fantastic resorts on the Coral Coast. Bati Guest House is a short drive from many of these resorts.
Why not complement your Fiji holiday with a night or two in a Fijian Village? Experience the real Fiji.
Experience the local foods. Experience the local customs. Experience the local people.
Adults - FJD$100.00 Fijian per person per day. This includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Which is around US$54.00, A$55.00, NZD$70.00 and 34.00GBP per night per person which includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. (conversion 8th June 2012)
Children(14 yrs and under) in Guest Cabin - FJD$60.00 Fijian per person per day. This includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Children 5 yrs and under - stay and eat free.
On top of this - there is a small booking fee which must be paid before your stay is secured for the dates you require.
Bookings are essential as it is considered impolite to just arrive as your hosts need to organize provisions for your stay.
Although you are staying in a traditional village environment, modern facilities are provided for guests, flush toilets and a hot water shower are provided and there is reliable electricity 24 hours a day - 240v.
There is a local primary school directly opposite Namatakula Village (3mins walk from Bati Guest House) and if you like you can visit the school - your children will love the school visit.
School Tour – donation required to help for the school up keep. Minimum donation of FJD$5.00 to help with school upkeep but any greater amounts would be greatly received. The school requires pencils, pens, rulers, rubbers, sharpners, colour pencils, lined exercise books etc and would appreciate any of these items you may be able to bring to the school from your home country.
Getting to Bati Guest House
By car: is a 2 hours drive from Nadi International Airport.
Nadi to Sigatoka 1 hour and from Sigatoka to Namatakula Village 1 hour.
The following rent-a-car companies have offices at the airport and have desks at International arrivals: Avis, Hertz, Budget, Europcar, Thrifty.
By bus: Pacific Transport has several express and local buses between Lautoka and Suva Mon-Sat via the Queen's Road. Namatakula is on the Queens Road. They all stop and pick up passengers at the domestic terminal at Nadi Airport. The express buses take about 4 hrs between Nadi and Suva, compared to 5 hrs on the local bus. Namatakula Village is halfway between Nadi and Suva. I would suggest taking the express so that you don't make every stop along the way. Make sure you tell the driver before you get on the bus you want to get off at Namatakula Village. By bus the cost should be around FJD$15.00 Fijian dollars per person.
By private transfers: www.fijitransfers.com offers private transfers all over the main island of Viti Levu and can transfer you to Bati Guest House.
Price of the transfer depends where you need to be picked up from and how many in your party but for 2 adults up to a family of 5 (2adults and 3children) allow FJD$170.00 each way.
